1993 Ti Kuan Yin, Xi Ping Mountain, Anxi, Fujian, China
From Mr. Wong's tea farm in Anxi, Fujian China comes this 1993 Ti Kuan Yin. Gently treasured for for 23 years, this tea is a cousin to the 1984 Ti Kuan Yin and the Red Heart Ti Kuan Yin as well as the Red Label Ti Kuan Yin. With notes of lime and roasty tea, this is a tart tea that is both lovely to enjoy as well as taste side by side with the 1984 tea. It is first and foremost a learning tea. When choosing to understand aged Ti Kuan Yin teas, it is important to taste the progression of oolong as it passed through the first 15 years of aging, the second 15 years of aging and finally the third 15 years of aging. The Red Heart, 1993 and 1984 are all superior examples of this aging process. When buying aged tea it is important to trust your source lest you be sold something from another year or another varietal. All three of these teas have been authenticated by a 4th generation tea master for growing area, age, and quality.  Two ounces of this tea will give 28 portions that can be steeped up to 8 times.Email for inquiry about this product: sales@redcircletea.com.
